Happy Halloween! Tomorrow is also Dia de los Muertos (day of the dead) in Mexico, so in the spirit of these two holidays, of which neither is properly celebrated in South Africa, here is the latest Planet Blue lookbook through which I'm living my deathly fantasies.
Just a kid.

road, sweet road.
I just adore this shoot with Tom and Ash. Its reminiscent of the music video for Cee Lo Green's cover of 'No One's Gonna Love You'. A road trip beyond you're imagination. x x

Gentle flower, growing wild
Yellow is not my colour, probably because I'm rather pale and not blonde? But every time my mother and I drive past the bright canola fields every year, we just sit in awe of the millions of yellow flowers growing like mad across the rolling fields in our area.
So today we persuaded my father to pull the car over, and let us enjoy the late afternoon sun and incredible flowers. It was completely magical! I just wanted to swim through the tall plants, or fall back and float on them. Unfortunately the only magical effect they had was 1: looking great on photos and 2: leaving yellow spots all over my clothes.
But it was probably the highlight of this month, and so I'm going to bombard you with yellow flowers now. I apologise for the ridicolous expression on my face, but I was just so amazingly happy :) :)
PS: this is just off the N7 on the way to Malmesbury, the town in the background is Philadelphia. x x

I won't be denied by you, the animal inside of you.
I am an animal person, and this post is a small dedication to the small army of canines (and pussy cats) my family own. So, animal haters, look away.
The ginger, Florence, was not included as she was otherwise occupied stalking a mouse under our piano. I tried to save him (cheese and all) but it was unsuccessful unfortunately. :( RIP Mousie.
UPDATE 1: I have been informed that I forgot to mention Kietiekat, our oldest (14) cat. She is THE BOSS, and only ventures outside when its absolutely necessary.
UPDATE 2: Mousie was saved, but I don't think he'll survive in the wild for very long unfortunately :( He looked very sad. xx

Wearing: Topshop knitted kimono, some cotton top, Woolies jeggings and boots.
We only have brown, white and black animals, which is currently also my favourite colours...and green. :)
The very broken necklace belongs to the mother, pure gold bracelets are my gran's (want them), the rest are from all over.
The youngest, Lizzy. She has ruined many pairs of shoes and electronic chords.

My mother, Amanda. She doesn't have her arms permanently in this position, I promise.
The princess, Oreo
PS: this family also has 7 geese, two pet birds, and another Jack Russel, Luci. x x

todaloo, holiday.
The joy that was my month long holiday has come to an end :( No longer will I be able to lounge around in whatever I feel like, not wash my hair for a significant period of time.... Its my first day back, and I swear, the stress levels have sky rocketed. 3 hours of class an my head is @#$%^&*(. ( yes, that's not an actual verb)
My last weekend consisited of:
workworkworkworworkwork
I stole a tshirt and modified my dress for dancing, didn't actually look THAT bad! Very "Little House on The Prairie" , even changed my shoes...

Okay, perhaps a little more. It was Bastille Day i.e party weekend in little ol' Franschhoek and the weather was lovely. After a friend's car accident (she's okay now), the rest of the beautiful Saturday was spent wandering up and down hot Fhoek (boring as hell), eating incredible strawberry ice cream and herding (yes, herding is the appropriate term) my two 'Bastille-ed' parents and older brother. Lets just say I'm not letting them off their leashes next time. OMFG.
A few days before, I discovered a floral dress in a bag with all my baby clothing. Of course it fitted perfectly, and immediately became my latest victim. Later I discovered my mother had made said dress, many, many years ago.
I jizzed it up with my pink blazer, little white belt and little white handbag. (got the little whites a couple of years ago in a random town, R60)
The necklace was purchased straight off the street at Bastille, R50 BARGAIN.
I am obsessed with anything that's shiny, and this necklace jingles too! Rings: stolen (from a friend, not a shop, ) markets, birthday, arms are from my gran and mommy. White bracelet courtesy of Franschhoek Station.

Got home much later than planned, as my inner dancing queen was just way too happy about the reggae band at the local pub, I mean, they were awesome.
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MANDELA!! :) x
